About the role#
This is a part-time position for a student to support sustainability initiatives within campus dining at Tulane University. You will work closely with the Sustainability Manager to implement dining strategies and promote environmental programs on campus. This role is for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Manage waste diversion programs.
- Help run sustainability events, such as fresh produce markets and waste reduction workshops.
- Educate students, faculty, and staff about campus dining sustainability efforts, including plant-forward menus and local purchasing.
- Connect with community and campus partners to build collaboration.
- Communicate sustainability principles to the campus community.
- Work between 4 and 10 hours per week.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current Tulane University student pursuing a degree in a sustainability or environmental science field.
- Membership in sustainability-focused student organizations is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 30 lbs.
