About the role#
The Student Worker Lead oversees daily food operations at the IUP-Hub. This position involves direct supervision of food service staff, management of inventory, and ensuring all health and safety standards are met. You will handle scheduling, training, and equipment maintenance while supporting the broader food service team.
What you'll do#
- Produce and maintain work schedules for staff.
- Supervise, evaluate, and mentor employees to support their growth and teamwork.
- Ensure food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment.
- Maintain a sanitary workspace that follows health and safety codes.
- Attend food service meetings with staff to coordinate daily activities.
- Fill in for absent employees and perform cashier duties as needed.
- Manage catering event preparation and delivery schedules.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and track maintenance logs.
What you'll need#
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Capability to resolve interpersonal situations and maintain control under stress.
- Must complete a sanitation course either before or during your first year.
- Must be a student at the Aramark location.
