About the role#
The Student Worker Lead oversees daily food operations at our University Center location. You will manage staff, maintain production standards, and ensure the facility follows all health and safety regulations. This position requires someone who can lead a team while also jumping in to cover shifts or handle tasks when needed.
What you'll do#
- Manage and train food service staff to encourage teamwork and efficiency.
- Create work schedules and maintain accurate production and inventory records.
- Supervise food preparation to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Organize storage areas to keep them hazard-free and orderly.
- Assist with catering events, which may include some nights and weekends.
- Handle equipment maintenance logs and perform basic preventative checks.
- Communicate regularly with management and other staff members.
What you'll need#
- Current student status at the Aramark location.
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Capability to resolve interpersonal situations and maintain composure under stress.
- Completion of a sanitation course, either before or during your first year.
- Basic arithmetic skills for inventory and ordering tasks.
