About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the administrative and analytical work that supports business and operational decisions at Paper Transport. You will work alongside the Asset Manager and teams in Maintenance, Operations, and Accounting to understand how data, financial information, and equipment needs support a transportation company. You will gain exposure to how businesses manage assets, analyze information, and make decisions that impact daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Manage toll bills received by mail and ensure they are routed to the correct Profit & Loss account.
- Audit incoming data sources to support asset management and operational reporting.
- Maintain accurate asset and equipment information across multiple software systems.
- Manage trailers through various stages of their utilization.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding equipment needs and trailer utilization.
- Monitor trailer utilization and equipment pools to support operational requirements.
- Cross-train across multiple fleets to gain exposure to different regions and customers.
- Assist with reporting, data collection, and administrative processes for the Maintenance and Operations teams.
- Identify data discrepancies and work with team members to resolve issues.
- Support special projects and business initiatives as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfort working with data and learning new software systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or a willingness to learn.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
