About the role#
The Student Worker - Functional position involves maintaining and cleaning assigned areas to meet client standards. This role is based at Towson University and operates on a rolling basis. It is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Clean assigned areas according to Aramark and client requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and ensure it stays in good working order.
- Report maintenance concerns by submitting work order requests to the appropriate personnel.
- Secure the facility by locking and unlocking buildings as required.
- Keep the environment orderly to support the safety and health of others.
- Follow procedures for trash storage and disposal.
What you'll need#
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull more than 50 lbs.
- Capability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions, including handling hazardous chemicals.
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks such as bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Readiness to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment when necessary.
