About the role#
This position supports food service and catering operations at Auburn University. It is a paid opportunity for students during the Fall 2026 term. The role requires on-site work and is open to students across various fields of study, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, and Nursing.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Serve food to customers and focus on guest satisfaction.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked.
- Maintain a positive demeanor while interacting with guests and coworkers.
- Follow safety policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Demonstrated guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or necessary personal protective equipment.
