About the role#
As a Student Worker in Food Service or Catering, you will support campus operations by preparing food and assisting with service. This role helps you develop customer service and social skills in a practical environment.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations such as prep tables and service counters.
- Serve food to customers and anticipate their needs to ensure satisfaction.
- Keep food items replenished and properly stocked.
- Store food according to established standards.
- Follow safety and sanitation policies.
- Maintain a positive demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
- Ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- This role may involve physical tasks like lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- You may be required to wear a uniform or use Personal Protective Equipment.
