About the role#
This is a student worker position within Purdue Retail Dining, specifically for Qdoba. You will work on-site in West Lafayette, Indiana. This role is paid and functions as a full-time position with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked to the correct levels.
- Serve food to customers and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize your workstation after service.
- Properly store food according to company standards.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
- Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- You must have or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills are essential.
- The role involves physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing.
- You may be required to wear a uniform or personal protective equipment.
- We welcome students from various fields, including Business Administration, Nutrition, Civil Engineering, and Kinesiology.
