About the role#
This position is for a student worker at the Chick-Fil-A location on the Winston-Salem State University campus. You will work on-site during the Summer 2026 term. This is a paid, full-time role open to students pursuing degrees in Nutrition, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Psychology, or Communications.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and directions.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations like prep tables, service counters, and steam tables.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Serve customers while ensuring satisfaction and anticipating their needs.
- Replenish food items and keep products stocked.
- Maintain a positive demeanor with guests, clients, and co-workers.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation policies and ensure the security of company assets.
What you'll need#
- Previous food service experience is preferred.
- You must have or acquire food safety certification.
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or personal protective equipment as required.
