About the role#
This is a student worker position within Dining Services at Oglethorpe University. You will help maintain a clean and safe environment for our guests and staff. This role requires physical activity and adherence to safety standards.
What you'll do#
- Clean and maintain assigned areas to meet client satisfaction standards.
- Follow safety procedures, including those set by OSHA and Aramark.
- Manage the storage and disposal of trash.
- Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment.
- Report maintenance issues through the work order system.
- Secure the facility by locking or unlocking buildings as needed.
What you'll need#
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull more than 50 lbs.
- Comfort working in a role that involves frequent bending, walking, and standing.
- Capacity to follow safety precautions and handle cleaning chemicals.
- Previous custodial experience is preferred.
- Current enrollment in a Business Administration program.
