About the role#
As a Receiver/General Utility Worker, you support the daily operations of the Student Union at Florida State University. You will handle the receipt of food deliveries and ensure the back-of-house areas remain clean and organized. This position requires a focus on safety and consistent service to guests and team members.
What you'll do#
- Receive Pollo food trucks and manage inventory storage.
- Maintain back loading docks, hallways, and refrigeration units like walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Keep equipment clean and in working order, reporting any issues to management.
- Perform light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed.
- Provide helpful service to guests, customers, and co-workers.
- Follow company safety policies, including proper food sanitation and security of assets.
What you'll need#
- Understanding of basic sanitation procedures.
- Ability to follow safety protocols regarding hazardous chemicals.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear required uniforms or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
