About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in youth, family, and behavioral health services. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a treatment-oriented environment to develop practical skills for a career in social work, counseling, or human services. This position is paid at $15.50 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Observe and assist with client assessments.
- Identify client strengths, needs, and goals.
- Support the development and implementation of case plans.
- Participate in case staffing, team meetings, and group supervision.
- Coordinate services with community partners and connect families with resources.
- Assist with home visits, court appearances, and family meetings.
- Document contacts with parents, professionals, and collaterals.
- Review case files, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Transport youth and parents to appointments.
- Assist with child abuse and neglect assessments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in good standing at an accredited university in a bachelor's degree program, preferably in Psychology.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to complete a physical exam, including a TB screening.
- Ability to obtain required criminal clearances, including State Police, FBI, and State Child Abuse clearances.
- Successful completion of background and reference checks.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Availability primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends.
