About the role#
This internship provides Master's level students with hands-on experience in an outpatient psychiatric setting. You will work under supervision to support clients and families while developing clinical and professional skills. This role is designed for students seeking a practicum or internship placement to fulfill degree requirements.
What you'll do#
- Assist with client intake assessments and identify needs to determine appropriate resources.
- Support therapeutic interventions and document treatment goals and progress.
- Maintain client records and assist with data entry and scheduling.
- Collaborate with supervisors and the treatment team during case consultations and meetings.
- Support quality assurance activities, audits, and compliance monitoring.
- Assist with community outreach, program development, and resource-building efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related mental health discipline.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Proficiency with computer software.
- Ability to manage emotional situations calmly and professionally.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and team members.
