About the role#
Apis Services, Inc. is seeking a Counselor Intern to join our team in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in youth, family, and behavioral health services. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a treatment-oriented environment to help prepare for a career in counseling, social work, or human services. Please note that this internship does not include clinical practice.
What you'll do#
- Observe and assist with client assessments.
- Identify client strengths, needs, and goals.
- Support the development and implementation of case plans.
- Participate in case staffing, treatment planning, team meetings, consultations, and group supervision.
- Coordinate services with community partners and connect families with resources.
- Learn professional documentation and report preparation.
- Assist with home visits, court appearances, and family meetings.
- Document contacts with parents, collaterals, and professionals.
- Review case files, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Transport youth and parents to appointments.
- Assist with child abuse and neglect assessments.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in good standing at an accredited university in a bachelor's degree program.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to complete a physical exam, including TB screening.
- Ability to obtain required criminal clearances, including State Police, FBI, and State Child Abuse clearances.
- Successful completion of background and reference checks.
- Basic computer proficiency.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: $15.50 per hour.
- Availability: Primarily Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends.
