About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in mental and behavioral health services. You will work on-site in Highland Heights, Kentucky, under the administration of Apis Services, Inc. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Complete the required orientation program.
- Develop your University learning contract within the specified time lines.
- Learn about intake procedures and participate in them when appropriate.
- Perform reception duties, including handling phone calls.
- Manage enrollment responsibilities.
- Become familiar with all case record requirements for therapy.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 21 years of age.
- You must hold a valid driver's license.
- You must be an undergraduate or graduate student in Health Services or Social Work.
- The ability to work independently and maintain professionalism is required.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults is helpful, as is experience in a substance abuse facility.
- You should have strong communication skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
