About the role#
Apex Companies is looking for a Civil/Environmental Engineering Co-op to join our team. You will support project teams with design, permitting, and construction administration. This role involves primarily office-based tasks, though you may also assist with field work depending on the project schedule and time of year.
What you'll do#
- Assist project teams with design and permitting tasks.
- Support construction administration activities.
- Perform field work, including GPS tasks and construction observations.
- Apply technical skills to solve project-related problems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or completion of civil engineering coursework, specifically Statics and Solid Mechanics, Materials for the Built Environment, or Environmental Engineering.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Esri GIS mapping software is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position.
- Work is on-site in Quincy, Massachusetts or Woburn, Massachusetts.
- The term is rolling.
