About the role#
As a Business Operations Finance Intern, you will work across finance and business operations to help Antares scale the systems and processes behind a growing organization. You will support core financial operations, including accounts payable and recurring reporting, while identifying opportunities to eliminate manual work through automation and AI. You will work closely with the Business Operations Lead to turn ambiguous operational problems into practical solutions.
What you'll do#
- Support the accounts payable process and recurring finance transactions.
- Build lightweight internal tools and automations using AI, APIs, scripting, and automation platforms.
- Identify repetitive workflows and develop solutions to automate them.
- Improve how operational information moves between systems to reduce manual data entry.
- Build automated reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into operational and financial priorities.
- Improve internal AI and knowledge-management workflows.
- Develop automations for recurring processes such as intake, approvals, notifications, and tracking.
- Support the implementation and improvement of operational systems, including CRM and contract management workflows.
- Conduct research and analysis to support operational and financial decisions.
- Work with the Business Operations Lead to identify operational bottlenecks and drive projects through implementation.
What you'll need#
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, entering your Junior or Senior year.
- Prior internship experience or significant project team, organization, or relevant work experience.
- Experience building automations, internal tools, or technical projects using scripting, APIs, AI tools, or automation platforms.
- Proficiency in Python or another programming or scripting language.
- A GPA of 3.5 or above.
- Demonstrated interest in applying AI and automation to business problems.
- Experience in a university club or organization, with preference for leadership roles.
- Ability to take an ambiguous problem, understand the underlying process, and develop a practical solution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-departmentally and manage multiple projects.
Location & details#
- This internship is based on-site at our Torrance, California headquarters.
- The term is for Summer 2027.
- This is a full-time position.
