About the role#
As a Construction Intern, you will develop analytical skills while working directly with project team leaders and experts. You will assist in performing the detailed analyses required to provide solutions for our clients. Interns perform project schedule, cost, productivity, and statistical analyses. You will also assist with the review of key project issues through document review and database management. This role offers opportunities to work in client-facing roles, assisting with the challenges of planning, constructing, and resolving disputes for large construction projects.
What you'll do#
- Support detailed analyses of cost overruns, productivity, contracts, and change orders.
- Research and analyze project cost records and financial statements.
- Reconcile claim amounts to accounting systems and insurers calculations.
- Develop computer models of schedules, contractor production rates, and costs.
- Use proprietary tools to develop claim methodology and work product.
- Assist with data gathering, document review, and quality control of data entry.
- Prepare client communications for senior level review.
- Coordinate administrative functions including time tracking and bill preparation.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028 with solid academic performance.
- Working proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Creative and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to adapt to multiple tasks and produce high-quality work under strict deadlines.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
- Experience with Tableau, VBA, or Python is desirable.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. is required. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
