About the role#
Stantec is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. This is a full-time, paid position that requires on-site work. You will support our transportation team on projects involving highways, interchanges, land development, and traffic infrastructure.
What you'll do#
You will work directly with engineers to prepare contract documents and technical reports. Your daily tasks include:
- Computer aided design and drafting.
- Checking drawings and engineering calculations.
- Performing quantity take-offs.
- Completing simple design calculations.
- Conducting field inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's program for Civil, Structural, or a similar engineering discipline.
- Good academic standing.
- Exposure to CAD design programs.
Location & details#
This role is based in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. You will primarily work in an office environment, though field work may require exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
