    About the role#

    The International Student Registrar for Continuity and Integration Support facilitates the registration, transition, and welcoming of newcomer and international students across 70 schools within the Anglophone South School District. This role reports to the EAL Subject Coordinator and manages communication with families, data analysis, and the onboarding of Additional Language Tutors (ALTs).

    What you'll do#

    • Lead and develop communication plans for prospective families and verify student applications.
    • Coordinate the handling of applications and conduct meetings with parents to finalize registration.
    • Process and manage registration information within PowerSchool and maintain accurate databases.
    • Administer intake language assessments and adhere to provincial guidelines for student record care.
    • Use enrollment data to forecast trends and inform staffing decisions.
    • Invoice and track payments for fee-paying students.
    • Prepare reports, budgets, and presentations while liaising with settlement agencies and ethnocultural groups.
    • Support the onboarding of new ALTs, troubleshoot logistical issues, and maintain tutor schedules.
    • Collaborate with the EAL Lead team and participate in district and provincial meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • A university degree in a related field such as Organizational Management, English Additional Language, or International Studies, plus four years of related experience.
    • A TESL certificate or an equivalent recognized qualification.
    • Experience working with people from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
    • Knowledge of the New Brunswick K-12 education system, the Education Act, and federal immigration regulations.
    • Project management skills and the ability to perform complex administrative work independently.
    • High computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerBi, PowerAutomate, and Adobe DX.
    • Ability to collect and interpret data to maintain detailed records.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
    • Teaching experience is considered an asset.

    Location & details#

    • Location: International Welcome Centre, 20 Knowledge Park Drive, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.
    • Employment type: Full-time (36.25 hours per week).
    • Term: This is a term position ending June 30, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
    • Union: Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC).
