EHS Intern

About the role#

The EHS Intern will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety team at Android Industries. This role provides hands-on experience in workplace safety, environmental compliance, training coordination, and incident investigation within a manufacturing environment. You will assist with daily EHS activities and gain exposure to safety systems and employee engagement programs.

What you'll do#

• Assist with coordinating environmental, health, and safety activities through communication and teamwork.
• Support the development and delivery of EHS training programs, including new hire orientation.
• Assist in investigating work-related injuries and illnesses, including compiling statistical data and reports.
• Support the implementation of safety countermeasures and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct routine safety observation tours and document findings for follow-up.
• Participate in Safety Team meetings and assist with tracking action items.
• Support emergency evacuation planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
• Assist with chemical awareness training and inventory monitoring.
• Support environmental reporting related to land, air, water, and hazardous waste compliance.
• Assist with pollution prevention, recycling initiatives, and ISO 14001 documentation.
• Maintain EHS records, files, and training documentation.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous internship, coursework, or exposure to manufacturing or safety-related environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to analyze data and support continuous improvement.
