Nursing Quality & Compliance Internship

About the role#

Anchor Home is seeking a Nursing Quality & Compliance Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This role provides hands-on experience in healthcare administration, quality improvement, and clinical documentation within a human services organization supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

What you'll do#

• Review documentation in the electronic health records (EHR) system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Identify documentation issues and assist with communicating necessary corrections to staff.
• Support the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) process by gathering, organizing, and tracking documentation.
• Monitor documentation deadlines to ensure records remain current.
• Maintain tracking logs and assist in the preparation of quality assurance and compliance reports.
• Track employee training requirements, monitor completion, and maintain training records.
• Coordinate training schedules and follow up with staff regarding outstanding requirements.
• Participate in assigned quality improvement and compliance projects.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Nursing.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Proactive and adaptable approach to learning.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.

Location & details#

• Location: Timonium, Maryland (On-site, office setting).
• Term: Fall 2026.
• Compensation: $17 per hour.
• Schedule: Part-time, flexible around student schedule.
