About the role#
Anchor Home is seeking a Nursing Quality & Compliance Intern for the Fall 2026 semester. This role supports quality assurance, compliance, and operational projects within a healthcare administration context. It is designed for a nursing student interested in clinical documentation, record management, and service quality for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
What you'll do#
- Review documentation in the electronic health records (EHR) system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Identify documentation issues and assist with communicating necessary corrections to staff.
- Support the Person-Centered Planning (PCP) process by gathering, organizing, and tracking documentation.
- Monitor documentation deadlines to ensure records remain current.
- Maintain tracking logs and assist with preparing quality assurance and compliance reports.
- Track employee training requirements, monitor completion, coordinate training schedules, and maintain training records.
- Participate in assigned quality improvement and compliance projects.
- Assist with general administrative and operational tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in a Nursing degree program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Proactive and adaptable approach to learning.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
Location & details#
- Location: Timonium, Maryland (on-site, office setting).
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Compensation: $17 per hour.
- Schedule: Part-time, with flexibility to accommodate student schedules.
