About the role#
Anchor Home is seeking a Personal Support Staff to provide care for an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home-based setting. This role is designed for nursing students who want to gain hands-on experience in direct care and community-based services.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Delegating Nurse in prioritizing and responding to client needs according to the Plan of Care.
- Follow the individualized Plan of Care as written by the Delegating Nurse.
- Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, hygiene, dressing, meal support, and grooming.
- Provide mobility and transfer assistance as needed.
- Document care provided and client responses accurately and in a timely manner.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum of 1+ year of documented experience in caregiving for vulnerable adult populations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Current CMT certification is preferred.
