About the role#
The Internal Communications team helps employees stay informed, connected, and engaged with the business. As an intern, you will work with U.S. and Global Internal Communications teams to support a structured planning process. You will gain hands-on experience in content creation, campaign support, and editorial planning while working alongside business partners and leaders.
What you'll do#
- Partner with internal teams to improve how employees understand company strategy and business initiatives.
- Organize editorial calendars and research industry best practices.
- Analyze employee feedback and engagement data to refine communication efforts.
- Document processes and create planning tools to coordinate communications across channels.
- Create evergreen digital signage templates and develop intranet articles.
- Draft employee communications and support the planning and execution of internal campaigns.
- Interview stakeholders and gather information to produce content that aligns with brand standards.
What you'll need#
- Completed junior year by the start of the internship with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2030.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail and proofreading.
- Creative mindset with experience in storytelling and design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and design software like Canva.
- Experience with video production, video editing, digital animation, or content layout.
- Experience using AI tools to assist with research and content creation.
- Ability to work collaboratively and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Ada, Michigan.
- This is a hybrid position requiring in-person attendance Monday through Thursday, with Friday as an optional remote day.
