    About the role#

    Amtrak is seeking a Multimedia Specialist Intern to join the Creative Services team within the Corporate Communications department. This role supports brand storytelling across digital, print, and video platforms. You will work alongside in-house designers and the social media team to produce visual assets that meet brand standards. This internship is open for the Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 terms.

    What you'll do#

    • Create brand-aligned content for various social media platforms.
    • Support the production and execution of the All Aboard with Stephen campaign.
    • Monitor and report on social media engagement and campaign performance metrics.
    • Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities.
    • Coordinate and maintain the social media content calendar for the Corporate Communication team.
    • Assist with photography, videography, and video editing as needed.

    What you'll need#

    • Active pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Media Studies.
    • At least 1 year of completed undergraduate studies or sophomore status.
    • A cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

    • Location: Washington, DC.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $18.00 to $35.00 per hour.
    • Benefits: Includes Amtrak rail pass privileges and one PTO day per academic year.
    • Employment Type: Full-time.
