About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our protein sciences team for a co-op position. You will work directly with our scientists in a hands-on laboratory setting to support antibody discovery and bi-specific antibody engineering. This role is open to students currently enrolled at Northeastern University.
What you'll do#
- Maintain mammalian cell culture lines.
- Perform transient transfections and affinity-based protein purifications.
- Execute assays including BLI, SPR, SDS-PAGE, and analytical HPLC.
- Conduct molecular biology tasks such as PCR, plasmid purification, and sequence analysis.
- Execute antibody conjugation experiments for in vitro and in vivo studies.
- Document results and maintain records using an electronic lab notebook.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related field at Northeastern University.
- Lab experience in biology or biochemistry in an academic or industry setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with protein expression, purification, antibody conjugation, or protein characterization via HPLC is a plus.
