About the role#
The Center for Data Science at American University seeks a part-time Student Administrative Assistant. This role supports daily operations, grants administration, event planning, and communications for staff and leadership. You will work 8 to 10 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Process student timesheets and maintain records.
- Manage office space and resources.
- Coordinate logistics for events and programs, including speaker arrangements, travel bookings, and expense reports.
- Assist with student enrollment and grant application coordination.
- Track grant expenditures and research funding opportunities.
- Update the Center website and manage faculty profiles.
- Coordinate with partner institutions and provide general support on additional projects.

- Location: Main Campus, Washington, DC.
- Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $18.40 per hour.
