About the role#
The Threat and Vulnerability Management team protects American National by identifying, assessing, and reducing security risks across the enterprise. As an intern, you will gain exposure to vulnerability management processes, security tools, and remediation efforts that support our cybersecurity strategy. This is a paid, full-time summer opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Assist with identifying and tracking vulnerabilities across company systems and assets.
- Support monthly patching and remediation activities.
- Perform vulnerability scans and review the results.
- Help with remediation verification and follow-up tasks.
- Contribute to program documentation and process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings, projects, and collaborative activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with junior standing or higher.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
