About the role#
The Security Operations Intern position is a full-time, paid summer opportunity based in League City, Texas. This program runs from May 24, 2027, through August 6, 2027, with an optional extension available until August 13. You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, on-site at our data center.
What you'll do#
You will support identity and access management initiatives that help employees securely access business applications. Your daily work includes:
- Documenting application processes.
- Supporting authentication configurations.
- Testing security solutions.
- Improving operational workflows.
You will gain exposure to tools such as VS Code, PingOne Console, LDAP, Active Directory, and RACF. You will also build knowledge of single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and enterprise cybersecurity technologies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with junior standing or higher.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.
- Understanding of SAML 2, OAuth 2, OIDC, and WS-Federation.
- Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and token-based authentication.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
