About the role#
The Finance Internal Control team maintains a strong financial control environment through ICFR/SOX compliance, risk assessment, and data analytics. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside audit professionals to support financial reporting and internal audit processes. You will participate in professional development sessions and collaborate with team members across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Support ICFR/SOX testing by reviewing documentation and control evidence.
- Document testing results and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Participate in process walkthroughs with business and technology partners.
- Evaluate financial, IT-dependent, and automated controls.
- Assist with data analytics and internal audit projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related business discipline.
- Junior standing or higher by the start of the internship.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Curiosity about data analytics, IT systems, and automated controls.
- Interest in internal audit, ICFR/SOX compliance, or IT audit.
Location & details#
- Location: League City, Texas (Marina Plaza).
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24 to August 6, with an optional extension to August 13).
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
