About the role#
The American Heart Association is offering a paid internship for students interested in digital and social media marketing. You will work with our digital team to support campaigns and initiatives that promote heart health. This role provides hands-on experience within a non-profit organization and requires a commitment of 20 to 25 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Craft and execute social media posts for Facebook, X, and Instagram.
- Monitor content performance and provide analysis of findings.
- Identify new content ideas and track trends on social platforms.
- Research social media strategies used by other organizations and present your findings to the team.
- Learn our brand standards to ensure all content aligns with our mission.
What you'll need#
- Current senior or graduate student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or visual communications.
- Familiarity with Facebook, X, and Instagram.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools like Sprout Social.
- Basic skills in video production, graphic design, and writing, with a preference for Canva experience.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 25, 2027 to May 7, 2027).
- Modality: Remote (must be based in the United States).
- Schedule: Minimum 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm EST.
- Equipment: Reliable WiFi connection is required.
