About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within a non-profit health organization. You will support the Laurel Highlands Heart Ball, Blair Go Red for Women events, and the Central PA Women of Impact campaign. The role is remote, though you must have reliable transportation to travel to events throughout Blair and Cambria Counties. This is a paid position for Winter 2027, requiring 20 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and execute pre-event logistics and on-site management for community events.
- Conduct outreach to event attendees and members of giving societies.
- Prepare sponsor presentations and gather materials for follow-up meetings.
- Manage data entry, pull reports, and organize event information.
- Handle administrative tasks such as preparing printed materials, assembling thank-you cards, and organizing supplies.
What you'll need#
- You are a senior or graduate student in business, communications, public relations, nonprofit fundraising, or event management.
- Proficiency in Canva and basic experience with Adobe software.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
- Comfort working with community leaders, volunteers, and staff.
- Intermediate to excellent skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience or interest in promotion, sales, or fundraising.
- Proficiency in managing multiple social media platforms.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Remote, with required travel in Blair and Cambria Counties, Pennsylvania.
- Term: January 25, 2027, to May 7, 2027.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
