About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship program for Summer 2026. You will join a team responsible for core actuarial functions, including modeling, pricing, valuation, and reporting for deferred annuities. This role is based on-site at our office in Des Moines, Iowa.
What you'll do#
- Develop models in Milliman Integrate software for fixed indexed annuities.
- Verify calculation accuracy using Excel-based independent calculators.
- Generate and review reserve calculations for Statutory and GAAP reporting.
- Build reports in Integrate to support management analysis.
- Research policyholder data using SQL, R, Python, and Tableau.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in actuarial science, data science, mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, business administration, finance, or accounting.
- A passing score on at least one preliminary actuarial examination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to numeric detail.
- Effective organizational skills.
