About the role#
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will join our Cyber Operations team to learn how we protect the firm. You will focus on incident response, phishing, data loss prevention, and AI security. You will also help define and detail security processes. Interns act as first responders alongside their peers to provide critical assessments of incoming reports. You will apply your academic knowledge and guidance from mentors to complete meaningful projects.
What you'll do#
- Learn the operational details of the Cyber Operations security team.
- Participate in incident response, phishing, and data loss prevention activities.
- Engage in AI security initiatives.
- Document and refine security processes and procedures.
- Act as a first responder for cyber incidents.
- Assess and report on security threats.
What you'll need#
- You are an incoming senior enrolled in an undergraduate program for Cybersecurity, Information Security, Data Security, AI Security, or a related field.
- A strong interest in Information Security and Risk Management.

Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Kansas City, Missouri.
- The internship runs for 10 weeks from June 2, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
