About the role#
The Procurement Intern supports the operations that drive our windows, activations, and experiential projects. You will gain hands-on experience in sourcing, budgeting, logistics, and vendor coordination while working with cross-functional teams on procurement strategy. This role involves financial tracking, allocation planning, and data analysis to help achieve cost-effective project outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Assist in sourcing vendors, gathering quotes, and comparing pricing and quality.
- Maintain vendor communication, track order statuses, and support issue resolution.
- Update and organize purchase records, contracts, and procurement documentation.
- Support tracking of vendor performance and service metrics.
- Partner with teams to help prepare allocation plans aligned with project timelines and seasonal needs.
- Distribute assets and materials based on store requirements and available inventory.
- Support case-pack and linear footage analysis.
- Track project budgets and monitor actual versus planned spend.
- Gather data for variance analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare basic financial summaries and reports.
- Update procurement dashboards with data on shipping costs, damages, and replacements.
- Assist with time-study data collection to help forecast labor needs for installations.
- Use Excel to support data analysis, trend identification, and reporting tasks.
- Coordinate shipping schedules, freight details, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare packing specifications and monitor quality checks for project installations.
- Support troubleshooting for logistics issues or delivery delays.
What you'll need#
- Junior, Senior, or recent graduate status.
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- Ability to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week with open availability for a few days.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic proficiency in Excel, such as pivot tables, lookups, macros, or scenario modeling.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in procurement, logistics, or budgeting within a retail environment.
