About the role#
The Data Science Intern joins our Data Intelligence team for a 12-week summer program. This role provides hands-on experience with data, analytics, and AI. You will rotate through Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Governance, and Data Analytics to understand the full data lifecycle. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Carmel, Indiana.
What you'll do#
- Perform exploratory data analysis to find patterns and business insights.
- Build, test, and evaluate predictive models, machine learning solutions, and AI use cases.
- Cleanse, prepare, and transform data for analytical applications.
- Create visualizations and presentations to share findings with stakeholders.
- Participate in rotations focused on data pipelines, data quality, and business reporting.
- Research emerging AI and analytics techniques.
- Present project outcomes to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program.
- Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and data analysis concepts.
- Understanding of statistics and machine learning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
