About the role#
Geneva Trading is seeking interns for our Summer 2027 AI Engineering program. This 10-week internship provides hands-on experience within a proprietary trading firm. You will work on projects that influence internal workflows and receive mentorship from experienced technologists and traders. This role is a pipeline for full-time opportunities after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Explore and innovate with new AI models, frameworks, and developer tools.
- Experiment with engineering problems by prototyping AI-driven tools, automation, and assistants.
- Track metrics related to developer efficiency, tool adoption, and solution effectiveness.
- Share your findings and demonstrate prototypes to help drive technology adoption.
- Collaborate with traders and technologists to solve complex, high-impact problems.
- Present your work to senior leaders to receive feedback.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with software development practices.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks or multi-step AI workflows.
- Hands-on exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or modern AI tooling.
- Experience with Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, or Gemini.
- Interest in trading, fintech, or performance-sensitive environments.
- Curiosity about financial markets, algorithmic trading, and market microstructure.
- Ability to think critically, communicate complex ideas, and work cross-functionally.
