About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work alongside experienced pharmacy teams to support patient care and health services. This role is a rolling, full-time position that offers the chance to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world clinical practice.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor.
- Manage the prescription filling process in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Offer advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals regarding drug therapy and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, and disease state management.
- Implement company initiatives to help increase pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and schedule specifications.
- Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
