About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship for pharmacy students. You will work on-site in a clinical environment under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. The role involves hands-on experience in patient care, pharmacy operations, and clinical services within a retail setting.
What you'll do#
- Perform all duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Fill prescriptions in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Offer advice and consultation to customers and health care professionals.
- Focus on patient counseling and provide customer service.
- Administer immunizations and vaccinations.
- Conduct MTM, point of care testing, and disease state management.
- Assist with over the counter medications.
- Implement company initiatives to increase pharmacy profitability.
- Participate in clinical services.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
