About the role#
The EHS Intern will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety team at Oxford Forge. You will gain hands-on experience in a metal-forming manufacturing environment by assisting with daily compliance, safety inspections, and site documentation. This is a temporary, part-time position designed to provide practical experience for those pursuing a career in safety.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
- Track corrective and preventive actions to completion.
- Assist with incident investigations and follow-up activities.
- Support EHS training by preparing materials and maintaining records.
- Help manage Safety Data Sheets and chemical documentation.
- Monitor site housekeeping, PPE usage, machine guarding, and ergonomics.
- Collect EHS data for reports and presentations.
- Develop safety communications and signage to improve employee awareness.
- Support environmental compliance and recordkeeping.
- Collaborate with employees and supervisors to promote safe work practices.
