About the role#
As an intern on the Droid Perception team, you will work on machine learning model experimentation, evaluation, and integration. You will help push the boundaries of current onboard and offboard camera-only perception systems. You will have the opportunity to move your ideas from concept to real-world application while working alongside team members to address perception challenges.
What you'll do#
- Ideate, experiment, and iterate on learning-based solutions.
- Collaborate closely with team members to derive creative solutions.
- Leverage large datasets to train machine learning models.
- Ship production code to train, validate, and integrate models into the perception system.
- Share findings and insights across teams.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least the second year of undergraduate studies (Master’s and PhD students are also eligible).
- Good theoretical understanding of 3D computer vision.
- Hands-on expertise in multi-view depth estimation.
- Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Experience writing high-quality code in a production environment.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Mathematics.
