About the role#
Zipline builds autonomous logistics systems to deliver critical goods. Our electrical engineering team designs, builds, and tests the hardware that powers our flight and ground infrastructure. As an intern, you will work as a full member of the team on projects that directly impact our operations. You will collaborate across departments, including mechanical, software, and manufacturing, to solve technical challenges and improve system reliability.
What you'll do#
- Prototype battery charging electronics to support new environmental requirements.
- Architect ground support electronics for air vehicle take-off and landing.
- Develop and deploy test equipment for design validation and production.
- Support design validation campaigns to ensure avionics meet performance standards.
- Investigate root causes for issues found during testing or field operations.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least the second year of undergraduate studies in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience designing and testing a custom circuit board.
- A history of collaborating on engineering projects within a group setting.

- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The role is based on-site in South San Francisco, California.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
