About the role#
Zekelman Industries is looking for a Quality Systems & Assurance Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site to support the administration of our Enterprise Quality Management System and contribute to various compliance and improvement projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across manufacturing, logistics, and construction while gaining hands-on experience in quality governance.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and organize controlled documentation, procedures, and quality records.
- Assist with internal audit preparation and track audit findings.
- Administer and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Collect, analyze, and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage training records and support employee compliance documentation.
- Support ISO 9001 alignment through data collection and process reviews.
- Document business processes to support quality governance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on operational excellence.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support quality objectives.
- Use Microsoft Office applications for data management and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Process Improvement, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to QMS, ISO 9001 principles, audits, or continuous improvement methods.
- Interest in a career within Quality Management, Quality Assurance, or Quality Engineering.
