About the role#
This is a part-time Student Staff I position based in South Salem, Oregon. The role is designed for a college-aged individual and involves a 10-hour work week. You will support the local ministry through direct engagement with youth, leadership development, and administrative tasks. Please note that Young Life requires all employees to sign a Statement of Faith and maintain conduct consistent with its Christian mission.
What you'll do#
- Develop a yearly personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
- Meet regularly with volunteer leaders and area leadership.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a strong team.
- Model excellence in contact work, club, Campaigners, and camping.
- Participate in Young Life club and discipleship ministry.
- Implement camping strategies for the school season and summer.
- Raise financial support and maintain donor care practices.
- Communicate ministry updates to donor partners.
- Assist with camp fundraisers and office administration.
- Complete expense reports and follow all organizational policies.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a college degree.
- Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- A willingness to raise a personal financial support goal of $500 per month.

- Compensation: The hourly rate ranges from $15.55 to $19.25, depending on education and experience.
