About the role#
Young Life Military is seeking interns to serve at military installations. You will work alongside an experienced staff person to lead the Club Beyond program. This role focuses on building relationships with military teens, modeling a personal example of faith, and creating a community where teens can build friendships and find support. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and team agendas.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond club meetings and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation and participate in volunteer leader meetings.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse leadership team.
- Meet weekly with a volunteer to support their involvement.
- Raise financial support and communicate monthly with your personal donor partners.
- Conduct community outreach to reach unchurched teens and provide discipleship for believing teens.
- Lead and equip volunteers for middle and high school youth ministry.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least 2 years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and a desire to serve teens.
- Strong initiative and an energetic approach to ministry.
- A teachable heart and the ability to communicate well.
- Experience or skills in small event planning.
- A commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
Location & details#
- Location: Fort Benning, Georgia.
- Work Modality: On-site at the military installation.
- This is a paid position, though interns are responsible for raising their own financial support.
