About the role#
Young Life Military offers a long-term internship for those seeking to grow in their faith while serving military teens. You will work alongside an experienced staff member to lead Club Beyond, an outreach ministry focused on middle and high school students. This role involves building relationships within a military community, modeling a Christian life, and creating a space where teens can find connection and hope.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and team tools.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond clubs and small group sessions.
- Create a 90-day personal growth plan focusing on spiritual development, prayer, and reflection.
- Attend Chapel services on the installation.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and mentor one volunteer on their involvement.
- Recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Manage financial support tasks, including monthly updates to your donor partners and discussions with your supervisor about fundraising.
- Reach out to unchurched teens and provide discipleship to believing students.
- Lead volunteers in hands-on youth ministry activities.
- Adapt to and respect the unique military culture of the community.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least two years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and a desire to serve teens.
- Strong communication skills and a teachable attitude.
- Ability to take initiative and plan small events.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- High energy and a willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship. You are responsible for raising a portion of your salary, ranging from $1,160 to $4,000 depending on the specific location and duration of service.
