About the role#
Young Life Military is seeking interns to serve at the Fort Sill installation. This program provides an opportunity to work alongside experienced staff to support military teens. You will focus on building relationships, modeling a personal example of faith, and creating a community where teens can connect and build hope. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling start date.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with supervising staff using Club Beyond team agenda tools.
- Participate in leadership to conduct club and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan that includes prayer, reflection, and study.
- Attend Chapel on the installation.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and meet weekly with a volunteer to discuss their involvement.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Discuss raising financial support with your supervisor and communicate monthly updates to your donor partners.
- Assist with community outreach and lead volunteers in youth ministry activities.
What you'll need#
- High school graduation at least two years prior to the start date.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and a teachable heart.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational approach to ministry.
- Energy and skills in planning small events.
