About the role#
Young Life Military is seeking interns to serve at the Fort Bliss installation. You will work alongside an experienced staff member to provide ministry to military teens. This role focuses on building community, modeling a personal example of faith, and creating a space where teens can develop friendships and build hope. You will be expected to live near the community where you serve.
What you'll do#
- Meet weekly with your supervisor to review ministry goals and team agendas.
- Lead and participate in Club Beyond clubs and small group ministry.
- Develop a 90-day personal growth plan to foster your spiritual life.
- Attend Chapel on the installation.
- Attend volunteer leader meetings and meet weekly with a volunteer to support their involvement.
- Learn to recruit and train new leaders to build a diverse team.
- Develop outreach strategies for unchurched teens and lead discipleship for believing teens.
- Lead and equip volunteers for middle and high school youth ministry.
- Communicate monthly updates to your personal donor partners.
- Discuss raising financial support with your supervisor.
What you'll need#
- You must have graduated high school at least two years ago.
- A deep love for Christ and for teens.
- Strong initiative and an energetic approach to ministry.
- A teachable heart and the ability to communicate clearly.
- Willingness to raise part of your budget through personal support.
- Commitment to a relational ministry approach.
- Skills in small event planning.

- Location: Fort Bliss, Texas.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
