About the role#
We are looking for a Design Engineering Intern to join our Food and Beverage Research and Development team. You will work with R&D engineers, validation engineers, and lab technicians to test new products and develop technologies that meet our standards. This role provides insight into how R&D functions within a design engineering organization and how new technology shapes the product roadmap.
What you'll do#
- Generate new concepts and product architectures.
- Test R&D technologies at our off-site innovation center.
- Develop 3D models for new ideas using Solidworks.
- Research new technologies and potential manufacturing partners.
- Present testing status and project progress to leadership.
- Support the Design Engineering and R&D teams with emerging tasks.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics, or a similar engineering discipline. Junior year students are preferred.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software, with a preference for Solidworks.
- Strong skills in communication and presenting information.
- Experience with FEA analysis is preferred.
