About the role#
This is a full-time, 12-week internship based in Houston, Texas. You will join the Property and Buildings team to gain hands-on experience by working alongside senior staff on real projects. The program begins on May 17, 2027, and offers mentorship and networking through the Developing Professionals Network.
What you'll do#
- Support a variety of engineering tasks to build your technical and professional skills.
- Learn basic principles of Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering with guidance from an assigned mentor.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
- Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete training on assigned tasks.
- Adhere to the company Code of Conduct and exercise responsible decision-making regarding resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Undergraduate program in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Engineering, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Demonstrated interest in MEP engineering and a desire to advance your skills.
- Competent communication skills and the ability to follow direction from leadership and mentors.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- A proven track record of upholding workplace safety and the ability to follow health and safety policies.
- Preferred: Enrollment in a Masters or PhD program, experience with AutoCAD or Revit, and prior internship or campus leadership involvement.

- Compensation: $23.90 to $31.11 per hour.
